        It is understood that from August 8 to August 15, 2025, the weekly comprehensive operating rate of lead-acid battery producers in five provinces tracked by SMM was 67.3%, an increase of 2.05 percentage points WoW.

        This week, the operating rate of lead-acid battery producers rebounded compared to last week, mainly due to the resumption of normal production by lead-acid battery producers that were on summer vacation last week. However, during this period, a small number of enterprises continued to be on vacation, with the longest vacation lasting up to 10 days. Therefore, the operating rate of lead-acid battery producers this week has not yet returned to the level of late July. Next week, as other enterprises conclude their summer vacations, the subsequent weekly operating rate will continue to rebound. In mid-August, the end-use consumption of e-bike and automotive batteries has not yet shown significant improvement, and producers are mostly maintaining production based on sales. Subsequent production will still depend on the order situation.
